The Preparation Years (Yr 7-10)

During this stage of a child’s learning, they build on their skills from their early years. This is where gaps in their knowledge start to affect their motivation and confidence, and it is important to strengthen these areas. It is also the best time for a student to start preparing for their final years at school and beyond. At Smith’s Tutoring, we understand the struggles and challenges students are facing at this age and we cater for those students who are wanting to excel and push ahead and for those who are needing to fill in the gaps. This leads to our students getting confident and best prepared for their last years at school.
At this level we further develop a student’s note taking skills and study methods which can be carried through to high school. We also build on and Expanding knowledge leant in the foundation years.
